Direct To Media
Direct to media (DTM) is when an image, graphic or illustration is printed directly onto the surface of a substrate such as Foamex, dibond or acrylic. By removing the paper element, you allow the natural surface of the substrate to impact the finished image for effect. DTM is an ideal choice for travelling exhibitions as it is more durable on the edges and corners compared to mounted prints and has the added benefit of becoming water-resistant.

What is Direct To Media?
Direct To Media LED UV printing is an inkjet process that allows images to be directly printed onto a flat surface such as Foamex, dibond, brushed metal, or behind acrylic.
Cured with UV light, DTM printing gives you an abrasion-resistant, water-resistant and long-lasting finish to your artwork. Ideal for alternative exhibitions or displays, printing direct to media allows you to embrace the substrates natural surface.
Foamex
Foamex is a superior-grade, highly versatile PVC foam sheet with a satin finish and slight surface texture. Velcro is supplied with all Foamex prints for easy display.
Printed onto 5mm solid white Foamex offering rigidity and durability, these are perfect for public exhibitions, touring shows, graphics and displays. When printed on directly, images subtly catch the light with the slight surface sheen.
Dibond
Dibond consists of two thin layers of composite aluminium with a white surface and a black polyethylene core. Light but incredibly strong, this substrate offers excellent versatility.
When printed onto directly, your image will adopt a slight satin finish and a smooth texture. DTM dibond prints are available in a square, circular and rectangular format and supplied with a metal subframe to create a floating effect once hung.
Brushed Aluminium Dibond
Compared to the white surface dibond, the brushed aluminium option offers the opportunity to embrace the exposed metal finish to add texture and impact to your image.
Lightweight and incredibly strong, these are supplied with a subframe as standard and are available in a circular, rectangular or square format. The metallic base shows through in lighter image areas creating a fantastic industrial effect.
Acrylic
Your artwork is printed onto the back of ultra clear acrylic and sealed with a dibond backing. This creates a unique reflective finish to your image in a square, rectangle or circular format.
Relatively lightweight, strong and durable, acrylic photo prints are suited to a wide variety of different environments. Supplied with a subframe as standard, your artwork will achieve a seamless floating effect when displayed on the wall.

Velcro is a quick and easy way to hang your artwork without causing unnecessary damage to the wall. Ideal for lightweight materials like Foamex, velcro can also be used to display smaller sized dibond mounted prints if required.
